Acceptable Use Policy

1. Overview

Fancrowd is a platform for comedy and entertainment. We want everyone to have fun, be creative, and enjoy the content our community creates. This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") outlines what content and behavior is permitted on our platform.

By using Fancrowd, you agree to follow this Policy. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, disqualification from contests, forfeiture of prizes, and permanent bans.

2. Content We Welcome

Fancrowd thrives on creative, entertaining comedy content:

• Original comedy skits and sketches
• Stand-up style performances
• Parodies and satire (that don't cross into harassment)
• Observational humor about everyday life
• Physical comedy and visual gags
• Creative storytelling with comedic elements
• Trending audio and sound-based comedy (with proper rights)
• Pet videos, fail compilations, and lighthearted content

3. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited and will be removed. Severe violations may result in immediate account termination without warning.

3.1 Violence and Dangerous Activities

• Graphic violence, gore, or content depicting death
• Threats of violence against individuals or groups
• Content encouraging dangerous activities that could cause harm
• Animal abuse or cruelty
• Weapons used in threatening or dangerous contexts
• Content promoting terrorism or extremist violence

3.2 Sexual Content and Nudity

• Explicit sexual content or pornography
• Full or partial nudity (including implied nudity)
• Sexual acts or simulated sexual acts
• Content sexualizing minors in any way (zero tolerance)
• Non-consensual intimate imagery
• Sexually suggestive content involving minors

3.3 Harassment and Bullying

• Targeted harassment of individuals
• Cyberbullying, including repeated unwanted contact
• Doxxing or sharing private information without consent
• Encouraging others to harass someone
• Content created to shame, humiliate, or degrade specific individuals
• Revenge content or malicious exposure of private matters

3.4 Illegal Activities

• Content promoting or depicting illegal drug use
• Sale or promotion of controlled substances
• Instructions for illegal activities
• Content promoting underage drinking or tobacco use
• Gambling promotion (outside of legal skill-based contests)
• Copyright infringement or stolen content

3.5 Spam and Manipulation

• Repetitive or low-quality content designed to game the system
• Misleading thumbnails or titles (clickbait that misrepresents content)
• Content designed solely to promote products or services
• Coordinated inauthentic behavior
• AI-generated content presented as original human creation
• Content that's clearly not comedy or entertainment

4. Contest Integrity

Fair competition is essential to Fancrowd. The following behaviors undermine contest integrity and are strictly prohibited:

4.1 Vote Manipulation

• Using bots or automated tools to cast votes
• Creating multiple accounts to vote for yourself
• Purchasing votes or paying for voting services
• Coordinating with others to mass-vote in exchange for reciprocal voting
• Exploiting technical vulnerabilities to inflate vote counts
• Using VPNs or proxies to circumvent voting limitations

4.2 Entry Manipulation

• Submitting content you did not create or do not have rights to
• Re-submitting previously rejected content without modification
• Creating multiple accounts to submit multiple entries
• Submitting content that violates any part of this Policy

4.3 Consequences

Contest manipulation results in immediate disqualification, forfeiture of any prizes, permanent account ban, and potential legal action. We use automated systems and manual review to detect manipulation, and our decisions are final.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Your Rights

Only submit content that you created or have explicit permission to use. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe on others' rights.

5.2 Music and Audio

• Using copyrighted music without a license is prohibited
• You may use royalty-free music, music you've licensed, or music you created
• Trending sounds within the app may be used as provided
• Cover versions and remixes require appropriate permissions

5.3 Third-Party Content

• Do not re-upload videos from other creators without permission
• Reaction videos and commentary must add substantial original content
• Compilations of others' content without permission are prohibited
• Always credit original creators when appropriate

5.4 DMCA Process

If you believe your copyright has been infringed, submit a DMCA notice to [email protected] with: identification of the copyrighted work, location of infringing content, your contact information, and a statement of good faith belief. False claims may result in legal liability.

6. Age Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Fancrowd
• If you appear to be under 18, your content may be removed pending age verification
• Content featuring minors must not be inappropriate or exploitative in any way
• Accounts determined to belong to users under 18 will be terminated

7. Reporting Violations

Help us maintain a safe community by reporting content that violates this Policy:

• In-App: Tap the flag icon on any video to report
• Email: Send detailed reports to [email protected]
• Emergency: For imminent threats, contact local law enforcement first

We review all reports and take action as appropriate. Abuse of the reporting system (false reports) may result in action against your account.

8. Enforcement

8.1 Content Moderation

We use a combination of automated systems (AI content scanning) and human moderators to review content. All submissions go through moderation before appearing in contests.

8.2 Actions We May Take

• Content Removal: Violating content is removed from the platform
• Warning: First-time minor violations may result in a warning
• Temporary Suspension: Repeated or serious violations may result in temporary account suspension
• Disqualification: Removal from current and/or future contests
• Prize Forfeiture: Winners who violated rules forfeit their prizes
• Permanent Ban: Severe or repeated violations result in permanent account termination
• Legal Action: We may pursue legal action for severe violations

8.3 Appeals

If you believe your content was wrongly removed or your account was wrongly actioned, you may appeal by emailing [email protected] within 14 days. Include your username and a clear explanation of why you believe the decision was incorrect. Appeals are reviewed within 7 business days, and our decision is final.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Policy as our community evolves and new issues arise. Material changes will be announced through the app or via email. Continued use of Fancrowd after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
